Azalea

Azaleas have dark green foliage and clusters of red, pink, white or purple flowers. They make excellent flowering plants and have a blooming life of two to four weeks or more.

  1. Always check your plant daily.
  2. Keep the soil moist but not wet.
  3. Apply water directly to the root medium.
  4. Keep the foliage and flowers dry to prevent fungal diseases.
  5. Do not use fertilizer.
  6. Place azaleas in bright, indirect light.
  7. Leaf drop may be caused by dry soil, intense shade or cool temperatures combined with intense light.
  8. Pinch off new, green shoots that extend beyond the flowers.
